Mtsvane

The white grape Mzwane (Georgian მწვანე, dt: Green ) is an indigenous variety from Georgia. Today it is cultivated in many of the former states of the USSR, especially in Georgia and Ukraine ( there especially on the Crimean peninsula and in the region of Odessa). Mzwane means green in the Georgian language and alluding to the lush green grapes.

In Georgia, the Mzwane is considered very high quality. Fruity, very aromatic white wines and dessert wines are made from it.
