Mumtaz Mahal
Arjumand Banu Begum ( Mumtaz Mahal ) (* April 1593 in Agra, † June 17, 1631 in Burhanpur ) was the wife of Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor (Kaiser ) of India. She was the Taj Mahal built as a tomb.
Life
Her father was Abul Hasan Asaf Khan, brother of Nur Jahan, wife of Jahangir. Engaged it was in winter 1607 ( 14 years old ) with Prince Khurram, the later Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, whom she married at age 19 on May 10 in 1612. She was his third wife, and became known as Mumtaz Mahal awarded, which means in Urdu "excellence of the palace ." She was his first wife. She died giving birth to her 14th child when she accompanied Shah Jahan on a military campaign in the Deccan. Your Tomb, the Taj Mahal, is a sign of her husband's love.
Even during his lifetime famous poets their beauty, grace, and her compassion for the needy. Mumtaz Mahal was Shah Jahan's trusted companion, traveling with him through the whole Mughal Empire, and he trusted her so completely that he her the kingdom seal that Muhr Uzah, handed over to preserve. She had great influence on him and often campaigned in favor of the poor and disenfranchised.
