Municipality of Bloke

In the community consisting of 45 villages and hamlets, 1,634 people live. The main settlement Nova vas has 293 inhabitants. The municipality is located on a plateau in the Inner Carniola.

Bloke is best known for his invention of the ski. The population is one of the oldest skiers in the Alps. They used the book slats for everyday use, as the area in winter always had a lot of snow. They developed a technique to move forward with a stick.
