Musaeus Grammaticus

Musaeus the Grammarian (Greek Μουσαῖος ) was a late ancient Greek poet. Reported is the Epyllion about love of Hero and Leander ( Τὰ καθ̓ ' Ἡρὼ καὶ Λέανδρον ). Time to put the poem by Nonnus of Panopolis because Musaios is linguistically dependent on Nonnus, and before Kolluthos who has used it, so sometime around 500

The poem was an Italian adaptation by Bernardo Tasso and worked on Christopher Marlowe and other agent of the substance in modern times.

The love poem Alpheus and Arethusa ( Anthologia Palatina 9362 ) is also attributed to him.

Musaios have been identified with the addressee of the letters 48 and 60 of Prokopios of Gaza. More survival data are not known.
