Musetta Vander

Musetta Vander ( born May 26, 1963 in Durban, South Africa, born Musetta van der Merwe ) is a South African actress and model.

Biography

Private

Vander was born as the daughter of a ballet teacher in South Africa and grew up in Durban. She earned a BA in Communications and Psychology. Shortly after graduation, she also earned a certification as a ballet teacher. In 1988, she married the film director Jeff Celentano. She teaches - like her husband - at the Performer's Academy in Orange County, California.

Acting Career

After college, Vander was hired as a presenter for the South African version of MTV. Then she moved to the U.S. and began her acting career with appearances in more than 20 music videos of various artists, including Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Elton John, Chris Isaak and Amy Grant.

Vander participated in several film roles, including Molly, Wild Wild West, The Cell, and O Brother, Where Art Thou?. In addition, she appeared in numerous television series such as Buffy - The Vampire Slayer, Stargate SG -1, Star Trek: Voyager, The Sentinel, Frasier and Xena.
