The Ludwig Museum is the museum of the city of Cologne for the art of the twentieth and twenty-first century. History

Starting point for Cologne Museum of Contemporary Art was the Expressionist collection of Cologne Josef Haubrich citizen. This was integrated into the Wallraf- Richartz Museum, and expanded over time to other works of 20th century art. When the collector - couple Peter and Irene Ludwig of Cologne gave around 350 works predominantly of pop art, it came in 1976 to the founding of Museum Ludwig. Photographic collections
