The Louis aura is a cruise ship in the Greek Louis Cruise Line.

History

The aura Louis was built in 1968 by AG Weser in Bremerhaven and used by the Norwegian Cruise Line and Star Ward. 1975 gained fame as the ship short for the film The wrong sister with Natalie Wood and Michael Caine. In 1995 it was sold to Festival Cruises and renamed Bolero. Following the insolvency of shipping company in 2004 it was bought by Abou Merhi Line, renovated for more than $ 10 million and renamed Orient Queen. 2005, made ​​his first trip for the shipping company and was the first cruise ship in Dubai. In July 2006, it evacuated American citizens from Lebanon when they were ruled by unrest because of a conflict with Israel. It was escorted by the destroyers USS Barry and USS Gonzales. In August 2006, it was eventually sold to its current operator Louis Cruise Line. In the autumn of 2013 it was renamed Louis aura.

The ship is used for cruises in the Mediterranean and is one of the oldest active cruise ships in the world.

Her sister ship is the Skyward in 1969, which is now used as Leisure World for cruising off the coast of Singapore.
