Myanma Airways

Myanma Airways is one of the four domestic airlines of Myanmar.

Organization

The airline was originally called Union of Burma Airways, was established in the 1950s, when the country still ' Burma ' or English ' Burma ' was called. She was the only airline in the country for many decades. Beginning of the 1970s it was renamed Burma Airways Corporation. The amendment to the country's name to Myanmar in 1989, the company was renamed Myanma Airways. The differing from country name spelling is because the company is the adjectival designation ( ' Myanmarian ') used.

The company is fully owned by the state and operates under the Ministry of Transport.

As a joint venture between Myanma Airways and Singapore partners in 1993 was the international airline of Myanmar Airways International ( MAI).

In addition to Myanma Airways Myanmar Airways International and operate three other Myanmar Airlines Air Bagan, Air Mandalay and Yangon Airways. They serve mainly the over thirty destinations within Myanmar.

Security

The German Embassy in Yangon for years as declared by the Foreign Office advises its employees already on the exploitation of Myanma Airways from.
