Myron Benjamin Wright

Myron Benjamin Wright ( born June 12, 1847 in Forest Lake, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, † November 13, 1894 in Trenton, Ontario, Canada ) was an American politician. Between 1889 and 1894 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Myron Wright was the older brother of Congressman Charles Frederick Wright ( 1856-1925 ). He attended the common schools and taught himself then as a teacher. Between 1865 and 1869 he worked in various positions for the First National Bank of Susquehanna. He then worked in the financial sector and in the craft. Politically, he joined the Republican Party.

In the congressional elections of 1888 Wright was in the 15th electoral district of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Frank Charles Bunnell on March 4, 1889. After two re- elections he could remain until his death in Congress. He died on November 13, 1894 during a vacation trip to Canada. At this time he had already been re-elected for the following term in Congress. His mandate was made after a special election to Edwin J. Jorden.
