Myślino

Myślino ( German Moitzlin ) is a village in the urban and rural community Gościno ( United Jestin ) in the powiat Kołobrzeski ( Kolberg ) of the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

The village is located in Eastern Pomerania, about 18 kilometers southeast of Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg) and 100 kilometers north-east of the regional capital Szczecin ( Szczecin).

History

In 1312 Myślino (older forms of the name: Mötzelin, Moizlin ) was sold, according to a document of the Szczecin City Deputies Hermann Rodingher to the cathedral chapter of Kolberg. In 1335, the Knights Stephan Karkow took over the estate Moitzlin of this fief. Since the 16th century Moitzlin had been an allodial manor of Blankenburg family. After it had been between owners, the estate since 1770, was in possession of the Gelsdorff family.

Before 1945 Moitzlin belonged to the district of Kolberg- Körlin in the administrative district of Pomerania Pomerania. Towards the end of the Second World War, the region was occupied in May 1945 by the Red Army and then put together with all Pomerania under Polish administration. Ever since the German - Polish Border Treaty it belonged to Poland. In 2010 the village had 148 inhabitants.

Parish

The Protestant Church of Moitzlin belonged to the parish of Great Jestin.
