Nagod (Hindi: नागोद, Nāgod ) is a small town in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It has about 20,000 inhabitants and is situated in the district of Satna.

Location

Nagod is about 27 km from the district capital Satna away, which also has a railway station. From there buses to Nagod and further to Khajuraho.

History

The place was once the capital of the princely state Nagod.

Environment

From Nagod several important archaeological sites with buses or taxis can be reached:

• Khajuraho (about 75 km north-west )
• Nachna (about 25 km south-east )
• Bhumara (about 30 km south-east )

The less significant gupta -temporal ruins of Pipariya and Khoh lie in the area of surname.
