Tourism

The headwaters of the Río Najerilla is a popular fishing area ( trout, bream ) and is suitable also for hiking and canoeing.

Viniculture

Large areas in the Valle Najerilla belong to the wine region of Rioja Alta. Surrounded by the vineyards there are still a number of conical-shaped stone huts with Kragkuppeln who served as weather protection, but - just before the harvest - even for the purpose of guarding the grapes from theft by birds and humans were investigated.

Attractions

The place Canales de la Sierra has been classified as Conjunto histórico - artístico because of its culturally and historically significant buildings and its townscape. The places Anguiano and Bobadilla also have buildings of cultural interest. Nájera was in the 10th and 11th century, at times the capital of the Kingdom of Navarre and thus has several cultural attractions - especially the former convent of Santa María la Real with its royal and princely graves. Only two kilometers southeast of the city of Nájera Tricio lies with one of Spain's oldest and most unusual churches.
