Namibia women's national football team

The Namibian national football team of women is the women's football national team of the southwest African country of Namibia.

The Namibian national football team of women was officially founded until 2003, although in 1992 took place the accession of Namibia Football Association FIFA. To date, the women's football team could not qualify for a World Cup or African Cup itself. As host of the national team for the African Cup of women in 2014 is automatically eligible to start.

Greatest success was a 3-2 victory for the team in October 2008 against Banyana Banyana, South Africa's women's football team, as well as reaching the second qualifying round of the African Cup of Women 2008.

The team is known as the "Brave Gladiators" ( German Brave Gladiator interior ).

The highest position in the FIFA World Ranking was 89th place in December 2009.
