Nancy Njie

Nancy Seedy Njie ( born November 7, 1965) is a former Minister of Culture and Tourism ( Secretary of State for Tourism and Culture) of the West African state of Gambia.

Life

After visiting the Gambia High School, she worked from 1984 to 1991 at the former Gambia Airways, after which they became self-employed as the owner of the canteen of the Gambia Ports Authority.

On April 26, 2006, she received the medal (RGM ) of the Order of the Republic of The Gambia and was elected in November 2007 as Deputy Mayor of Banjul. Previously she had been elected to the Supervisory Board of Gambia Telecommunications Company on 8 January 2007, but was disbanded in August of the same year.

In the Cabinet of President Yahya Jammeh, she was appointed on March 20, 2008. It replaced Angela Colley, the High Commissioner of Gambia in Nigeria was. Njie was sworn in on March 26, 2008 in office.

Honors

The Order Officer ( ORG ) received Njie in May 2009.
