Nando (Mozambican footballer)

Paulo Fernando " Nando " Matola ( born August 9, 1982 † 2 September 2007) was a Mozambican football player.

Matola was changed by the Mozambican first division Costa do Sol to the South African Premier League club Black Leopards 2002. Here the defender was recently also team captain.

Matola was killed in a car accident when he was on the way to Maputo to prepare the national team for the qualifier in Tanzania for the African Cup of Nations. He was on the road from Tzaneen to Leiden Castle lost control of his car and driven him into a tree. Also Matolas wife and two children died in the accident.
