Naoise Ó Muirí

Naoise Ó Muirí is an Irish politician of the Fine Gael and was from June 2012 to June 2013 of the 343rd Lord Mayor of Dublin.

Ó Muirí studied at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He works as a freelance engineer and runs his own business.

In 2004 he was first elected for Fine Gael in the Dublin City Council. 2009 was his re-election. In February 2011 he was a candidate in elections to the 31 Dáil Éireann constituency in Dublin North Central, but could gain no mandate. As a member of Dublin City Council, he was elected on 25 June 2012 for the Lord Mayor of Dublin ( Lord Mayor of Dublin), sparking Andrew Montague of the Irish Labour Party from. He was competing with 32 votes against his rival, the independent Mannix Flynn, by, who received 6 votes. 11 Members of Dublin City Council abstained.

Ó Muirí is married and has children. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland.
