Nariño Department

The Departamento de Narino is a province in south-western Colombia. It is bordered to the south by Ecuador, on the west by the Pacific Ocean, the north by the Cauca and on the east by the Departamento de Putumayo.

Agriculture has with the cultures of wheat, fodder crops, potatoes and fruits for the largest share in the total economy of the province. The industrial activities are limited to the food industry, handicrafts and furniture industry.

The capital city of Pasto has a number of colonial buildings and Tumaco is a place with pre-Columbian culture.
