Nasser Moghadam

Nasser Moghadam ( born 1921 in Tehran, † April 11, 1979 ) was an Iranian general and lieutenant last head of the secret service SAVAK.

Life

Moghadam dissolved in June 1978 surprisingly Nematollah Nassiri from as intelligence chief. Moghadam was previously head of military counterintelligence, was an opponent of torture and should provide a better connection to the intelligence of the army.

After the Iranian revolution Moghadam was, like his predecessors Nassiri and Hassan Pakravan, tried and executed in court.
