Natalia Osipova

Natalya Ossipova (Russian Наталья Осипова; born May 18, 1986 in Moscow) is a Russian ballet dancer.

Even from an early age she was trained by her father. Originally intended Ossipova to a career in rhythmic gymnastics, but then turned to the classic ballet.

From 1996 to 2004 studied at the Choreographic Institute Ossipova Moscow, their teachers were, among others, Marina Kotova and Marina Leonova. Part of their training time was reproduced drill in the documentary Bolshoi.

After graduating Ossipova joined the ballet company of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow in as a dancer in the corps de ballet. Long before she was officially appointed soloist, she excelled in the leading roles of the great ballet classic Don Quixote ( Kitri as ) and La Bayadère (as Gamzatti ). It is particularly known for their high jumps and the vitality of their interpretations.

Since 2009, she also appears as a guest dancer at the American Ballet Theatre. In 2012 she became the leading dancer ( Principal Dancer) to the Mikhailovsky Ballet in St. Petersburg. End of May 2013, they announced that they join as a Principal Dancer in addition to the Royal Ballet in London and at the same time, the Mikhailovsky would leave.
