Natalie Glebova

Natalie Glebova (Russian Наталья Владимировна Глебова, born November 11, 1981 in Tuapse as Natalia Vladimirovna Glebova ) is a Russian Canadian beauty queen and 2005 winner of the Miss Canada and Miss Universe.

Life

Glebova was born in Tuapse, Russia. She plays classical piano and was taught in a professional music school at the age of 12 years. She also won several regional championships in rhythmic gymnastics. She emigrated at the age of 13 years with her parents from Toronto, Canada.

She worked as a model and received her Bachelor of Commerce in IT Management and Marketing at Ryerson University in Toronto. She also worked as a motivational speaker at elementary schools and high schools.

She married in April 2007, the Thai tennis player Paradorn Srichaphan, whom she met at the Thailand Open 2006. Since 2011, they are divorced.

In 2008 she participated in the reality game show The Amazing Race Asia 3 and reached with her partner Pailin Rungratanasunthorn eighth place.

Beauty pageants

The first time took Glebova 2004 at the Miss Canada and arrived there in fourth place. The following year she stepped in again and won the election.

When Miss Canada Glebova participated in the Miss Universe 2005 election in part. In every performance she showed the traditional Thai gesture Wai. So they enlisted the sympathy of the Thai audience and jury members, won the election and was crowned the second Canadian Miss Universe.
