Nate Kazebier

Nathan Forrest " Nate " Kazebier (* August 13 1912 in Lawrence (Kansas ), † 22 October 1969 in Reno ( Nevada) ) was an American jazz trumpeter.

Life and work

Kazebier began nine years playing trumpet and worked in local territory bands of the Midwestern United States, as in Austin Wylie in Cleveland Jan Garber and Slats Randall. 1935/36, he was a member of the big band of Benny Goodman to listen to songs like I've Found a New Baby. He worked in this time also with Gene Krupa, then moved to California, where he played with Ray Noble, in Seger Ellis ' Choir of Brass (1937) and Spud Murphy. 1939/40, he was a member of Gene Krupa first big band and worked with Jimmy Dorsey ( 1940-43 ) before he performed military service. After discharge from the Army, he worked again with Goodman (1946 /47), Johnny Mercer / Paul Weston and was then worked as a studio musician in California.
