Nathanael Matthaeus von Wolf

Nathanael Matthew Wolf ( born January 28, 1724 in Konitz, † December 15, 1784 in Gdansk ), known in English-speaking Nathaniel Matthew Wolf, was a German botanist, physician, and astronomer. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Wolf"; earlier was also the abbreviation " N. M. Wolf " in use.

Life

Wolf was a member of the Natural History Society of Danzig and bequeathed his collections. He also contributed significantly to the building of an observatory. On April 10, 1777, he was elected as a member ( "Fellow" ) to the Royal Society.

The doctor Phillipp Adolph lamp from Danzig was on May 10, 1785 memorial speech ( " The H. v. Wolf was born on 28th Jan 1724 in Conitz in West Prussia " ) before before the Natural History Society in Gdansk.
