National Socialists – 21st Century Left

The party Národní Socialiste - levice 21 století, abbreviated NS - LEV 21 or 21 LEV ( German People's Socialists - Left of the 21st century ) is a political party in the Czech Republic.

The party was created in 2011 when the former Chairman of the CSSD and former Czech Prime Minister Jiří Paroubek left his old political home and merged with the traditional " Popular Socialists " (Czech National Social Party ) to form a new political party under its current name. Paroubek was elected as the new chairman.

The newly formed party represents largely social democratic or socialist positions. In 2010 elected House of Deputies of the Czech Parliament, it was represented by the crossing Paroubek and his party colleague, former ice hockey player Jiří Šlégr, from the CSSD to the Popular Socialists with two deputies.

The new party entered the country for the first time in the election district council elections on 12-13. October 2012 and reached only 0.5% of the vote. In none of the districts ( Kraj ) - not even in Usti nad Labem, where party leader Paroubek took as the leading candidate - she managed to jump over the 5 % threshold and thus the entrance into a district parliament.

In July 2013, the party spoke out against the government Jiří Rusnok. At the meetings held in the October 2013 House of Representatives elections, the Popular Socialists received only 0.07 % of the vote. In the newly elected House of Representatives, therefore, no politician of the People's Socialists are more represented.
