Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt

The Navy radio station Harold E. Holt (English Naval Communication Station Harold E. Holt ) is a build 1967-1968 VLF transmitter system at Exmouth in Western Australia. It is used for transmitting signals to submerged submarines.

As the antenna system is a screen antenna, which is suspended from poles 13 is used. The central mast, which is called the pole 0, 389 meters high. The other poles are provided around the latter in two rings at equidistant spacing. The height of the six poles on the inner ring 304 is m, the six poles on the outer ring 364 meters. The name comes from a former Australian Prime Minister.

The transmitter used is one with 1000 kW transmitter power among the strongest in the southern hemisphere.
