Nazareno (Salta)

Nazareno is a village in the department of Santa Victoria in the far northwest of the province of Salta in Argentina. The village has about 780 inhabitants and lives on the rearing of goats and sheep as well as the cultivation of corn. Nazareno is the headquarters of the eponymous municipality Nazareno.

Traffic

From La Quiaca you can reach Nazareno on the Ruta Provincial 67, later changed to the Ruta Provincial 69 and from the mountain pass Abra del Condor to the Ruta Provincial 145 - S, which leads up to Nazareno. The route leads over the mountain pass Abra Fundición up to an altitude of 4720 m. Nazareno is on 3180 m.

Events

The patron saint Virgen de Guadalupe will be held on September 8.
