Ndut is a language spoken in Senegal by the Serer in the central west of the country as well as in the northwest of Thies.
Together with the languages Lehar, Saafi, Noon and Palor, it is part of Cangin languages, which belong to the northern group of the West Atlantic languages , which are themselves members of the family of languages of the Niger - Congo languages .
The French alternative name for the Ndut is Ndoute.
In 2002, the total number of speakers was about 35,000.
