Necronym

A Nekronym is a reference to the name of a deceased person. Many cultures have taboos and traditions, which are in connection with the disclosure of names. The ways of dealing with such a name are many. It is possible that such a name is in excess and are constantly called to the absolute prohibition of pronouncing. Most of the person named in the latter case descriptions or nickname. In some cases, however, it is also possible that material goods are named after the deceased, to allow their memory.

So it is in some cultures customary to name a newborn after a recently deceased, in others extensive rituals and waiting periods are necessary to an ancestral name may be reassigned.
