Classification

Kim Ryholt places it in the 16th dynasty, which he sees as a Theban dynasty, and assigns him a king of the Turin Royal Canon, from the still Sekhem -Re -s ... is written on the papyrus ( 11/3).

Documents

On a stele from Karnak temple boasts of the ruler, that he was the " head of the victorious Thebes " and that he " did Thebes again raised, as it was overrun by foreigners ". These appear to be, even in the Thebes was involved direct allusions to events of war. These have mostly been associated with the arrival of the Hyksos, but it seems more likely that they have to do with the incident Nubians (see Sobeknacht ).

The ruler is otherwise only from a stele of Gebelein and a block of Elkab known, the latter block shows traces of a revision.
