Neonode

Neonode Inc. ( NASDAQ: NEON ) is a Swedish manufacturer of mobile phones. The headquarters is located in Stockholm. The company also has the technology " zForce " ( a graphical user interface built on top of Windows CE) developed ( an independent non- touch screen based on infrared LEDs ) and " Neno " and patented. These technologies are used in all developed by Neonode mobile phones.

History

Magnus Goertz and Thomas Eriksson founded the company Neonode in 2001. In March 2002, a Neonode mobile phone at CeBIT was first introduced and the end of 2002 already 20,000 pre-orders were drawn after a press conference in Stockholm.

In early July 2004, after two years of planning time, the first model of " N1 " available. In March 2005, an update was followed by the " N1m ". In February 2007, Neonode its latest and world's smallest mobile phone with touch screen " N2" at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. This mobile phone has been brought under company website for the first time in July 2007 on the market and was until December 2007 Sold 31,000 times. The N2 weighs 60 grams, has Bluetooth and a touchscreen. In Germany it is available on the homepage of Neonode Since May 2008, the retail and in most parts of Europe.

On 13 August 2007 merged Neonode with the SBE, Inc., since the company is traded on the Stock Exchange and trades under the name of NEON. At the end of fiscal year 2007 sales of 3.1 million U.S. dollars was offset by a net loss of 48.4 million U.S. dollars. This corresponds to an operating margin of -1560 per cent.
