Netherlands at the 1988 Winter Olympics

The Netherlands participated in the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 with eleven athletes participate. The six men and five women were all at speed skating. The outstanding athlete was Yvonne van Gennip with three gold medals in three races, including two new world record. With a total of three gold, two silver and two bronze medals, the Netherlands was ranked seventh in the medal table. It was the 13th part of the Netherlands at the Olympic Winter Games. The speed skaters January Ykema was selected as flag bearer of the Dutch team for the opening ceremony.
