The Neureut is a 1261 m high mountain in the Bavarian Alps east of Lake Tegernsee and one of the most popular attractions of Munich. The summit with the much-visited Neureut house is accessible as an easy hike from the village Tegernsee from. Even in winter the Neureut is accessible without special equipment. The Neureut house is open all year. Alternatively you can descend via the 1335 m high Gindelalmschneid and Gindelalm to Schliersee.
