Neville Bonner

Neville Thomas Bonner AO ( born March 28, 1922 in Ukerebagh Iceland, New South Wales, † February 5, 1999 in Ipswich, Queensland) was an Australian politician ( Liberal Party ). In 1971 he was the first Aborigine, who moved into the Australian Parliament. He belonged to 1983 as the representative of the Queensland Senate. From 1968 to 1975 he was president of the One People of Australia League ( OPAL ).
