New Azerbaijan Party

The New Azerbaijan Party ( Yeni Azeri Azərbaycan Partiyası, short YAP; Russian Новый Азербайджан ) is the party that represents the current president of Azerbaijan and thus the policy of Azerbaijan dominated. The party was founded on 18 December 1992 and has about 518,000 members.

In addition to the President Ilham Əliyev it also provides the Prime Minister Artur Rasizadə.

History

After the declaration of independence of Azerbaijan Heydar be Əliyev, the First Secretary of the CPSU in the Azerbaijan SSR was turned, by the communist ideology from and joined on 19 July 1991 from the Communist Party of. The Azerbaijani Communist Party broke up in the subsequent period and named later to the Popular Front in New Azerbaijan; Heydar Əliyev was its first chairman.
