New Politics (band)

New Politics is a Danish alternative / indie rock band that was founded in Copenhagen in 2009. The biggest success of the band goes back to the single Yeah Yeah Yeah from 2010, which, among other things in the car racing game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is found.

History

David Boyd, Søren Hansen, and for three years wrote songs together (which were never produced ), as written in the years 2006-2009 about 300 songs. In 2009 she competed in the "P3 's career cannons " competition with the songs Stress and Make Money. Of the total 973 candidates they came under the 42 bands that were allowed to show off their talent. After the successful participation they engaged the drummer Poul Amaliel to play for them. New Politics, which ( with the exception of the competition) had no live performances up to this point, among others, played in May 2009 a concert in Denmark. It was followed by a UK tour. In November 2009 the RCA label, which belongs to Sony Music Entertainment, was aware of the band and took them. In order to better work with the label, they decided in November 2009 in a loft apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, New York to draw.

On 13 July 2010 they released their debut album, which also bears the name of New Politics. It was followed by a U.S. tour and numerous other appearances in the United States. The songs Yeah, Yeah, Yeah and Dignity have been released as a single and each shot a music video for them in New York from the album.

In early 2011 left Poul Amaliel after three months to consider the band to pursue other plans and ideas. He was replaced by Louis Vecchio.

Early 2013 worked New Politics of her second studio album A Bad Girl in Harlem, which is on May 21, 2013, also at RCA Records, appeared. Already on January 22, 2013 published the New Politics song Harlem, a single from the new album.
