New South Wales Institute of Sport

The New South Wales Institute of Sport ( briefly also NSW Institute of Sport or NSWIS ) is a public corporation that cares for the coordination and monitoring of programs for the care of high-performance athletes. The Olympic Park in Sydney -based agency was established in 1995 under the Institute of Sport Act and took operational in 1996. Today, the company serves nearly 700 athletes, it offers 31 different programs in 24 sports.

The athletes get here access to training facilities and modern sports technology, at the same time they are cared for by their entry into a possible professional career easier.

Currently, football, basketball, bowls, Canoeing, Cycling, Diving, Horse Riding, Golf, Gymnastics, Hockey, Netball, Rowing, sailing, swimming, tennis, track and field, triathlon, water polo, weightlifting and winter sports are offered.
