New York Life Insurance Company

The New York Life Insurance Company, usually called just New York Life, is an American insurance company. The group is the largest mutual insurance company in the U.S. and one of the largest life insurers worldwide.

Founded as the insurance 1845, seat is New York City. CEO Ted Mathas. The Group has 12,650 employees (as of 2005) and in 2006 achieved a turnover of 28.365 billion U.S. dollars. Architecturally, it is also known, which was built in the 1920s on Madison Avenue New York Life Insurance Building.
