NGC 922

NGC 922 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Fornax. The galaxy was discovered on 17 November 1784 by the German -British astronomer William Herschel. Your annular structure goes back to a collision galaxies some 300 million years ago. In X-rays show several bright knots, which are probably caused by Black quencher.
