NHL Eastside Hockey Manager

NHL Eastside Hockey Manager is a hockey simulation game, which was developed by Sports Interactive (SI Games) and published by Sega. It was the first commercial version of the Eastside Hockey Manager series starting with the freeware game Eastside Hockey Manager.

The freeware version which had been developed by a group led by the Finns Risto Remes, only included the National Hockey League as a playable league, the number of completed seasons was in principle unlimited.

The first commercial version of the series was released in Europe in July 2004 under the new brand name NHL Eastside Hockey Manager. It had the, also developed by Sports Interactive, Championship Manager 3 based game engine with over 15 playable ice hockey leagues in North America and Europe with a database of over 15,000 players and staff. The game was first released in stores only in Europe, but later made ​​available for download and could be bought online. A North American retail version of the game followed a few months later. Other commercial versions of the series were NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2005 and NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007, the latter edition was only available for purchase via digital download.

In January 2007 it was announced that NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007, the latest version of the series for the foreseeable future would be, with Sports Interactive blamed piracy, adjust for deciding the series.
