Niavaran

Niavaran is a district of the district Shimran in the northeast of Tehran. He can be reached by Tajrish Square via the Darband Street.

In addition to the Niavaranpalast and the Niavaranpark are located in this district several embassies and the Iranian National Library. Furthermore, there is the Farhangsarā ( House of Culture ) with an amphitheater, a museum, a music hall, a café- gallery and a café with a covered exhibition hall.

Many Iranian artists also live here.

Located at the foot of the Alborz Mountains at an altitude of 1700 m, Niavaran has a cooler climate compared to the rest of Tehran with excellent vantage points. Several skyscrapers were built in the last few years.
