Jamshidieh Park

The Dschamschidieh Park (Parke -e Sangi -e Jamshidjieh, also Jamshidieh Park or Dschamschidieh Rock Garden ) is a park in the north of Tehran. The first input is at 1,820 m above sea level, the second at 2,100 m. The park is located at the foot of Kolaktschal Mountain in Niavaran district, measures including the mountainsides surrounding around 100 hectares and is considered one of the most beautiful and picturesque parks of the city.

The park was created in several phases from 1973. Was used specially selected stone slabs and rubble for the design. The park also integrates two natural elements: Black stone and flowers. Artificial watercourses run through the entire area, including an artificial waterfall and a lake. In the park there are several stone and metal sculptures. 1994 advanced to the park by a garden named after Ferdowsi.

In the park there are numerous restaurants and traditional teahouses, which represent the ethnic diversity of Iran. Furthermore you can find Picknikbereiche and hiking trails, open the terrific views of Tehran and lead to the summit of the mountain. Also, an amphitheater and a children's and youth library of the Kanun -e Parvaresh lying in the park.

The Dschamschidieh Park was founded during the Pahlavi era to commemorate the Kadscharenprinzen Jamshid Davallu Qajar, in turn, Farah Pahlavi dedicated it. Even in the aftermath of the Islamic revolution, the plant was maintained and extended.
