Niazi

Niazi is a Pashtun tribe, who belongs to the tribe of the Great Khan. The Niazi live esp. in the Pakistani Punjab, but also in Afghanistan, northwestern India, few in Turkey and Iran. Many tribal members are to the UK, emigrated to the United States of America, Canada, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Norway and Singapore.

Most Niazis live in the Pakistani cities of Mianwali, Bakkar, Faisalabad and Lahore in Punjab and Peshawar in the NWFP. Although they often speak Pashto or Hindko, the language of their ancestors, their first language today Panjabi.
