Niccolò Gattilusio, Lord of Ainos

Niccolo I. Gattilusio ( Niccolo Gattilusio ) (* probably around 1330, † 1409 ) was from 1376 to 1409, the first Lord of Ainos.

He came from the prestigious Genoese patrician family Gattilusio and was the younger brother of the Archon Francesco I Gattilusio of Lesbos.

After his brother had obtained in 1355 by Emperor John V of Byzantine domination Lesbos as thanks for his military aid, the Gattilusio benefited from the progenuesischen policy of the Byzantine emperors.
