Nick Fry

Nick Fry ( born June 29, 1956 in Epsom, England ) is a British economist and managing director at the Formula 1 team Mercedes GP.

Career

After studying economics at the University of Wales Fry came in 1977 to Ford, where he worked in various positions until 2000. In 2001 he became managing director Prodrive, a motorsports engineering company, founded and directed by David Richards and participates among others as a cooperation partner of Subaru to the World Rally Championship.

2002 was transferred Fry additional responsibilities at the Formula 1 team British American Racing ( B · A · R), which was also managed by Richards. He became general manager and team manager of the racing team in 2005 after the withdrawal Richards. He remained in this position even after taking over the team in late 2005 by the Japanese automobile company Honda.
