Nico Claesen

Pieter Nicolaas " Nico " Claesen ( born October 1, 1962 in Maasmechelen, Belgium ) is a former Belgian footballer and current coach.

Claesen played for clubs Patro Eisden in Mechelen, FC Seraing and Standard Liège. From 1984 to 1986, he completed 29 Bundesliga appearances for VfB Stuttgart, in which he scored eleven goals. He then moved to Tottenham Hotspur in England, where he had 37 League Appearances to 1988, where he scored 16 goals. In 1988 he moved to play for FC Antwerp to Belgium again.
