Nico Hillenbrand

Nico Hillenbrand ( born May 25, 1987 in Heidelberg ) is a German football player.

Career

Nico Hillenbrand began his career at VfB Rauenberg near Heidelberg. About the youth of the SV Sandhausen he came to the youth of Karlsruher SC, where he played a long time in various youth teams. In the season 2002/ 03 he moved to the youth of Borussia Dortmund, where he initially played in the youth field. For the season 2004 /05 he managed to jump into the 2nd team of Borussia, with whom he had to have, however, denied without an insert to cope with the decline in the Oberliga Westfalen. In the league season 2005/ 06 he became a regular player and completed 19 games. After promotion back to the Regionalliga Nord Hillenbrand was able to defend his place and was even part of the professional cadre; in the Bundesliga came Hillenbrand 2006/ 07 not to the course, while he was on 32 missions in the Regionalliga. For the 2007/08 season Hillenbrand was initially transported back again to the amateurs, was over the course of the season still several times the squad for the first team and was on December 15 in the game of Borussia Dortmund VfL Wolfsburg his Bundesliga debut in the 67th when he minutes came in to replace Nelson Valdez at a score of 0:3 against the BVB. Since the 2009/10 season Hillenbrand plays again at SV Sandhausen. He signed a contract there to 30 June 2011. After one season, he slipped into the reserve team of the SV Sandhausen. Therefore he moved in summer 2011 to Oberliga FC Astoria Walldorf.
