Nico-Jan Hoogma

Nico -Jan Hoogma ( born October 26, 1968 in Heerenveen ) is a former Dutch football player. The defender became famous because of its long activity at Hamburger SV, whose captaincy Hoogma after 2001 was at times.

Playing career

Hoogma began his career as a professional football player in the early 1990s at the Dutch club Cambuur Leeuwarden. For the 1992/93 season he moved to honor division club Twente Enschede. In the six years at Twente to Hoogma could always assert itself as a regular player and came to a total of 187 league (18 goals) and ten European Cup Appearances ( no goals ).
