Nicolás Pareja

Martín Nicolás Pareja ( born January 19, 1984 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine football player.

Pareja began his professional career in 2004 with Argentinos Juniors in the Argentine top division. In 2006 he moved to Belgium for RSC Anderlecht, where he was to replace the exchanged for Hamburger SV Vincent Kompany. With Anderlecht he won in his first season, the Belgian championship titles, failed in its defense the following season. For this was early in the season already, the Belgian Supercup be won, also was beaten in May 2008 KAA Gent in the cup final with 3-2.

In August 2008, he spent five million euros for Spanish side Espanyol, where he signed a contract until 2012.

Paraja was part of the victorious Argentinean selection at the Olympic football tournament in China in 2008.
