Nicole Vaidišová

Nicole Vaidišová ( born April 23, 1989 in Nuremberg, Germany) is a former Czech tennis player.

Career

Born in Nuremberg Czech began at the age of six years under the guidance of her mother playing tennis. My first coach was stepfather Alex Kodat. Later she joined the prestigious Tennis Academy of Nick Bollettieri and already played with 14 years on the WTA Tour. At their first title win in Vancouver at the age of 15 years, 3 months and 27 days Vaidišová was the sixth- youngest tournament winner in the Tour 's history. Her second tournament victory she succeeded in October in Tashkent. Vaidišová ended its first season on the professional tour with a record of 31 won matches at only 8 losses. At the end it was thanks to her two at number 77 of the world tennis rankings.

2005 continued the rise of Czech. Vaidišová won at year-end title in succession in Seoul, Tokyo and Bangkok. The 16 -year-old remained unbeaten in 18 matches series and finished her second year on the tour already ranked 15th in the world rankings. By its fifth tournament victory Vaidišová was the sixth player in the history of tennis, which succeeded it as a 16- year-old. The other members of this remarkable series, from which emerged not less than four future world number one, Tracy are Austin, Andrea Jaeger, Monica Seles, Jennifer Capriati and Martina Hingis.

2006 succeeded Vaidišová after her knockout collection at the Australian Open and the semi-finals of the French Open at Stade Roland Garros. Along the way they defeated the top-seeded world number one Amelie Mauresmo and U.S. American Venus Williams. In the semifinals she defeated Svetlana Kuznetsova; Vaidišová served at a score of 7:5, 6:5 already for the match, but lost the second set still 6:7 and the third and final round with 2:6.

At the beginning of 2007, she reached the Australian Open despite a toe injury for the second time a semifinal at a Grand Slam tournament - she defeated Serena Williams with 6:7 and 4:6. At the French Open in 2007 she came to the quarter- finals, defeated Jelena Janković but there. 2009 Vaidišová won only 11 of 28 matches and fell in the rankings far behind. From June to win a single match in the main draw of a WTA more Tournament. At the beginning of 2010 they not then traveled also to the Australian Open, but started at a small ITF tournament in Lutz in the season. In round one they lost there unceremoniously against the then number 230 in the world, Christina McHale.

Mid-March 2010 declared the only 20 -year-old then her resignation. It justified the decision with a lack of motivation. The former number 7 in the world won in her short career over U.S. $ 2.7 million in official prize money.
