Nidaba

Nisaba is a Sumerian, Akkadian, Babylonian and Assyrian goddess.

Nisaba was the daughter anus or Enlil ( in Lagash ). In neusumerischer and Old Babylonian period ( end of the 3rd millennium / first half of the 2nd millennium BC) it was regarded as the wife of Haja, in the 1st millennium BC Nabu was assigned as her husband. She was sister of Nanse and Ningirsu. Originally Nisaba was a Sumerian goddess of grain. Over time it got attributed to other functions. So she was a goddess of writing, thus automatically a goddess of sciences, including architecture. Their main shrines were in Umma and in Ereš. In Nisaba Ashur was worshiped together with Šala and Habiru in the Adad Temple.
