Nijō, Fukuoka

Nijo (Japanese二丈 町, machi ) was a town in the district Itoshima in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.

History

On January 1, 1955, the Mura Fukae (深 江村, -mura ), Fukuyoshi (福吉 村, -mura ) and Ikisan closed (一 贵 山村, -mura ) merged to Nijo (二丈 村, -mura ) together. On 1 April 1965, the appointment was made for Machi.

On 1 January 2010, she united with Maebaru and Shima to the municipality Itoshima.
